John Lewis’ Christmas ad. Possibly my favourite TV spot of 2011. Kudos @AandE (Adam & Eve).
Ok, so not everybody is happy about The Smiths cover.
But I think it’s a fairly strategic move. After the Summer 2011 John Lewis ad (http://virou.gr/uKWNvf), it looks like ‘nostalgia’ is sitting squarely in their key proposition.
I challenge anybody to watch these adverts, and not remember their own childhood with a fuzzy feeling deep inside.
Anybody that doesn’t like this advert for what it is, you are the grinch.

RIP Steve Jobs, and ignore the rest.
I came across this thought provoking print, and it made me stop to take stock.
Don’t get me wrong, my macbook is possibly my most prized possession and Steve Jobs has made an immense tribute to technology and design…but it certainly makes me wonder…

Dublin! Well after a hefty spell of beasting my final submissions for my Msc, I’ve eventually finished education and am no longer a student! Plus, I’ve passed - BONUS.
So in order to celebrate graduand life, I purchased a fisheye lens for my SLR. INVESTMENT. And a flight to Dublin. Here it is in action, next to a chandelier made of old Jamieson whisky bottles. I personally quite enjoy it.

Mindless looting from today’s youth. Absolutely diabolical. One is not amused.

alas, I have succumbed and downloaded a retro camera app for my mobile. I feel a bit dirty for committing such a crime against lomography and analogue photography.
(at least the coffee was awesome)
